Synopsis

12 August, 2003 -- Day 3.
Davis, CA.
0 miles.
70 miles to date.

  • The Story

Not many stories from the day really. I layed low in Davis, hanging
out at cafes, diners, and caught up on some emails and phone calls.
I managed to mail home a few unnecessary things, did some better packing
and organizing of the gear in the panniers (which I am sure will be a
never-ending process) and was generally lazy. Nice work.

  • The Bike

Spent the day in the shop to get some good luvin. For the most part,
the SLED is ready to roll.

  • The Body

Still a little tightness in the hamstrings, but I am ready to roll.

  • Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be the last flat day for a while. I will go as far as
Folsom by way of Sacramento before bunking up for the night to prepare
    for Thursday in the Sierras.

  • Snapshots

the benches where i spent the larger portion of the day reading slaughterhouse-five, by kurt vonnegut a three-wheeled bike in davis, california.
